FAQ

  • What is included in my rental?

    Your rental includes exclusive and private access to the studio during your reservation timeframe. We provide two trashcans and trash bags for your convenience as well as WIFI and a Bluetooth PA/Soundsystem.

  • Since your venue is on the second floor, is there an elevator??

    Our studio is located in an historic building on the second floor with staircase access only.

  • Do I need to include setup time and clean up time in my rental timeframe?

    Yes. Any time needed for planning, setup, or clean up must be included within your reservation timeframe.

  • Do you require an Event Liability Insurance Certificate for your rentals??

    Yes. Renter(s) must provide a current certificate of event liability insurance with Mel Lo Designs, LLC listed as the additional insured with a minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence. 

  • May I provide alcohol for my event?

    Yes, you may. *Creative Grounds doesn’t not carry a liquor license. Renters can not charge for alcohol without a licensed vendor.

  • Where do our guests park?

    There is ample street parking on Main Street as well as the other neighboring streets in downtown Mechanicsburg that are all within a short walk. We also have a private parking lot to the rear of our building off of Strawberry Alley. In addition to our lot, across Strawberry Alley from us, is a public parking lot that is ' first come, first served ' and free to the public.

  • How do I reserve Creative Grounds for my event?

    In order to reserve a date, 50% of the rental rate is due along with a signed contract.

  • Who sets up for my event?

    If utilizing one of our furniture add-on packages, we will set up and tear down all furniture rented from us for your event. You are responsible for all other setup and clean up.

  • When can we tour Creative Grounds

  • When renting Creative Grounds for an event, will we have access to the first floor space?

    No. The first floor of our building is a private business. Your rental would be for the second floor only.

  • Are tables and chairs included in my rental fee?
